| SafeGulf Training for
Offshore Contractors (10 hrs) 1.0 CEU
This course provides the training requirements needed for contractors working with certain major oil companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico. All contract employees must be listed in the SafeGulf database with a SafeGulf Identification Card in-hand prior to working on these premises. Fee: $160 (all materials & SafeGulf ID card included). Course #61837 Dates are established with the company. * LETC does offer a “test-out” option. A minimum test score of 90% is required for the “test-out” option. “ Test-out” option is available Monday-Thursday before 3:30 pm. Examination fee: $75 (all testing material & SafeGulf ID card are included). General Industry Safety Officer's Train-The-Trainer Course (8 hrs) .8 CEU
Every workplace that employs 30 or more workers should appoint a qualified person as a “Workplace Health and Safety Officer.”This program will train those employees on: safety officer’s job description and duties, safety practices, policies and procedures, conducting inspections, investigating and reporting accidents, incidents and injuries; setting up and conducting safety meetings, record keeping and establishing and implementing safety programs. OSHA compliance subjects will also be discussed. This course has been implemented to educate the first-line supervisor of his responsibilities as per OSHA requirements. The participant’s company manuals should be brought to class, in which exercises will commence to emphasize how to push the company’s commitment to safety.
