| BASIC FLORISTRY Participants will learn the principles of art and design as they apply to flower arranging. Floral designs for weddings, special occasions and corsages will be created by each student. A book and all supplies are furnished. Taught by Diana Dore, Licensed Master Florist, VTIE Certified, and State Licensed Judge.

Contact office for dates and times. LOUISIANA LANDSCAPES - PLANTS & DESIGN This class is designed for the home gardener, plant lover, or beginning contractor or designer. The course topics will include: trees, shrubs, ground covers, annuals, perennials, vines, etc, and how to use these in the landscape for the best results aesthetically and for survivability. Professional concepts of design will also be discussed along with photos, slides and plans of actual projects.

own landscaping, create fresh
arrangements, beautiful baskets, add color
to your yard, assemble holiday tabletops,
and learn how to make cuttings. You will
take home seeds, plants, and practical
ideas. One class will be an all-day field trip
to gardens and includes an alfresco lunch.
You’ll find it fun to become acquainted
with new plants and new plantlovers.
Special emphasis this semester on low
maintenance strategies, garden art, and
fast growing trees for shade.
