THE CHAKRAS: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE BODY’S 7 MAJOR POWER CENTERS

The body has an energetic system as well as a physical anatomy. This energetic system has power centers, also known as Chakras. In this class we will learn what the seven major chakras are and how they function and correspond to our physical, emotional, and spiritual well being. We will explore techniques of working with the chakras and how to integrate their benefits into our daily lives.

REIKI - LEVEL I

Improve and enrich your life with Reiki! Discover the benefits of Reiki, an ancient, hands-on healing system. Reiki can be used to alleviate stress, promote relaxation, and enhance well being and healing on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. This course will focus on Level I Reiki of the non-traditional style with previews of the second and third levels. Attunements will be offered and certificates given.You will be a Level I Reiki practitioner upon completing the course. Ages 15 - adult.

Continue to explore your unfolding life’s journey with the Second Level of Reiki. This course will help you to focus on the Second Degree non-traditional style of this ancient healing art. With an emphasis on well being, Reiki - Level II provides the means to create and maintain balance and harmony within our lives. Attunements will be offered and certificates given. You will become a Level II Reiki practitioner upon completing the course. Completion of Reiki - Level I required. Book is recommended, but not required. Ages 15 - adult.

YOGA STRETCH

Yoga is a gentle non-aerobic method to help you tone and strengthen, and increase flexibility and balance. It also brings about a sense of calmness and relaxation. BALLET TONE & STRETCH FOR ANYONE

This course is for anyone who is looking for a gentle workout. We focus on beginner ballet exercises that benefit all of your core muscle groups and lengthen all muscle groups. Reap the benefits of a professional dancer’s body by feeling better and looking better. This workout involves no jumping, pounding, or aerobics and provides less stress on the joints. No prior ballet experience is necessary. Students should wear stretchy comfortable clothing. Held off campus. Ages 13 and up.

ADVANCED YANG STYLE T'AI CHI (PART ONE)

This is the first of a series of four classes that will teach the entire traditional Yang T'ai Chi 108-movement long form. The traditional long form has been the mainstay of Yang T'ai Chi practice for centuries. Performing the long form imparts even greater health benefit than practicing the shorter forms. Previous experience in T'ai Chi is a prerequisite for the class.

T’AI CHI MEDITATION AND MOVEMENT FOR HEALTH AND RELAXATION

T’ai Chi is practiced by millions of people around the world for its physical and mental health benefits. Often referred to as “moving meditation,” the slow, flowing movements of T’ai Chi enhance circulation, improve balance and coordination, and facilitate relaxation. This course will introduce participants to the foundations of T’ai Chi practice. The basics of meditation, posture, and movement will be taught as well as a number of techniques taken from traditional Yang style T’ai Chi. The course is suitable for persons of all ages, and no previous T’ai Chi experience is required.

ASSERTIVENESS TRAINING NEW

Improve your skills to stand up for yourself and ask for what you want! You will learn how to say no (and yes), when you really want to.
